kansaiphones: (Chii's Sweet Home: So Sleepy)

If I had to say about studying abroad for an entire year in Japan, it was the best experience in my life next to going to college. Next to Forest Grove, I never felt more at home. Even though there were moments that were bad and extremely stressful (like getting my health insurance and cancelling my phone service), I had so much fun. Being able to access places like Den Den Town, Comic City, Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo, and even my grandparents’ place in Anamizu was a total blessing for me. I totally love the Keihan train line since I could go between Kyoto and Osaka easily and was in my city.

The classes were also great. Yes, I was disappointed I wasn’t placed in a level higher, but I did learn more about some of the grammar and vocab I had missed at my home university. The English-language courses taught me a lot about Japan and the culture. It’s been a while since I took classes where there were so many topics I wanted to know more about.

I was also able to meet people like Souji, Donny, Wadey, Runa, Chieko-sensei, Jessica, Kim, Shane, Ryoko, and many others. And because of them, I was able to grow more as a person.

Honestly, I love Osaka. Tokyo is nice, but it’s too hectic for me. Plus, as my Dad says, you can find more historical sites and what not in that area and Kyoto.

I GOT KH 358/2 DAYS YESTERDAY, AS IN THE DAY IT HIT STORES. The Edgeworth game is also up for sale, but I decided not to grab it. Though it would be good practice for my Japanese, I think I would enjoy it more in English.  (Besides, when I do get an R4, I'm gonna get ALL the ace attorney games.

I pretty much walked around Yodobashi Camera in Umeda today since it's right across from the Umeda station and where the Airport bus was. Even sneaked in some time to walk through Den Den Town one last time. You know what would help, more wifi routers and power outlets around this gate. This is the only one here, but at least I DO have internet access.

But yes, by tomorrow, I will be back in Hawaii. And I will confess I did cry a bit on the way up to the airport. Seriously, I'm gonna find a way to come back here.
