Halloween was average this year. Strangely enough, I got me some new shoes that day. I'll post a photo later if anyone's interested. So, I had to scrap my human!Keroro costume that day since it was clear I wasn't going to get it done in time. Ended up going as a goth girl of sorts (at least that's what my roommate called it).

Had dinner with my friends. Two of my friends took forever to get their Jedi outfits done, so we missed a dance or two in the area. We managed to take photos since one of my friends, Reese, is an avid photographer. So he was experimenting with lighting and stuff while the guys did poses with their lightsabers.

Oh and I managed to download 6 Hetalia FSTs and a few other songs. So huzzah for around 4 days worth of music now on my iTunes.

Classwise, I had my advising/registration period for next semester. For Winter III, I'm taking two classes about first aid and injury prevention. Winter III is an optional course my school has. Classes happen five times a week for three hours. It allows students to take up a class they wouldn't normally take. My past courses were about the Crusades and Alfred Hitchcock films.

Taking more Japanese courses next semester, along with the second part of the Capstone/Thesis class. Oh fun. Debating whether to take another art course or maybe a history course (I blame Hetalia for sparking an interest in history again!).

Today in Japan, it's National Foundation Day. IOW, NO SCHOOL YAY!!!

I was invited to go to Hirakata Park, the local amusement partk, for ice skating. And it was worth it. It's been four years since I last did it, but I managed to get a hang of it. Only fell once because some fucking little punks kids blindsided me. @_@

Now I just need to finish the reading for tomorrow's classes and homework. blargh. But I'll see Chieko sensei tomorrow instead of Friday this week because of her schedule. I'm just really glad my classes end at 4 instead of 5 or else I would be tired as hell going there. And I has melon-pan (a sweet bread that looks like a melon, so yummy).

I just started looking at my LJ login app and I think I have too many accounts to sign in now. XDDDD
I have total of three full-time rp accounts, two NPCs, and I STILL want to make a Chii account.  Is this becomming a bad sign???

(Because Chii would make such a cute addition to Xanxus's ship (which remains nameless still. lol, what kind of a captian am I?)) And for the record, Chii is the one in my icon now. Yes, another cat. Why? Because Chii is the most adorable animated kitten ever.

In less than 24 hours, I'll be on that plane back to Hawaii. Now, I just have to get to the packing.

The recital went pretty well. Will get a link soon when other people post it on facebook. =w=;;;;

I'm pretty much have all of my doujinshis in my carry ons (my back pack and laptop bag). After all, I really don't want people to see it in when they check my check-in suitcase. =_=;;;;;

I'll take photos of all the stuff I'll give to people and doujinshis I found when I go back home. I think I'm gonna have to do some heavy cleaning in my room for some stuff. @_@

Watched the first "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" series and I downloaded the opening and closing themes. I find it so amusing that the ending song is like swing/jazz music, but the lyrics are morbid as hell. XD

I used my 5000 yen rebate from Softbank (my cellphone provider here in Japan) to get the KHR Vongole Festival. There's so much crack...My favorite portion is Squalo and Xanxus's rooms. There's nothing like throwing glasses at your subordinates. XD

In honor of this holiday, I have two highly recommended anime you can watch! You can find subbed episodes on both Youtube and Veoh.

Ayakashi: Japanese Classical Horror Stories

This eleven episode long series maybe short compared to popular anime series, but good things come in small packages. There are three story arcs which have their own animation style and tone, but they all have one theme that bind them together: the darkness of human nature. I recommend watching two out of the three story arcs

Yotsuya Kaidan (episodes 1-4) [link] <-For the original story

The famous kabuki horror story is now animated with the character designs done by Japan's Yoshitaka Amano (who also did Final Fantasy character designs, Vampire Hunter D illustrations and so on). Tsuruya Nanboku IV, the writer of the original story, narrates his story about the beautiful Oiwa who was brutally betrayed by her husband, Tamiya Iemon. After taking a poison that disfigured her face and being crucified to a door that was thrown into a river, her curse continues to haunt us to this day. The ending still gives me shivers down my spine.

Bakeneko (Ghost Cat) (episodes 9-11)

A mysterious medicine seller arrives at the home of the powerful Sakarai family. The daughter, who was about to be married, is brutally murdered. The Medicine Seller, who remains nameless through out the story arc (and yes, that's him in my icon), comes to the conclusion that a mononoke (a demon/malicious spirit), specifically a Bakeneko killed her. Only he can kill the vengeful ghost, but he must know its form (Katachi), truth (Makoto), and regret (Kotowari) to do so. The gorgeous animation keeps me at awe and this story arc spurred a spin-off series known as "Mononoke".

Mononoke

The Medicine Seller is back in this wonderful series. At 12 episodes long, it is well done and the story arcs will have you hooked. Keeping to the original animation style and voice actors, "Mononoke" will keep fans of the Bakeneko story arc coming.

Sorry about saying Merry Christmas so late today. I was pretty much busy since yesterday. Normally, my family, including my 3 aunts, 2 uncles and my cousin, we go out for Christmas dinner. But this year, we had at home. I had to wash out the garage and wipe down chairs, string up the lights, and get some of the food set. My aunty made this awesome cioppino (seafood stew with white fish, shrimp, crablegs and clams) and my counsin made foccacia bread to go along with it. Mmm, crab legs. XD

After we opened the Christmas gifts the next day, I helped my one of my aunts pass out some chili and rice lunches with her co-workers and her kids. We went to a total of 4 parks to get the food distributed because we went to Ala Moana beach park and other group from a church was already there serving them. But it was really nice day. Damn, I could've gone to the beach today. XD

Sadly, I didn't get a Wii or Twilight Princess, but I'll wait til my friend comes back to college.

And yes, I'll try to get my DA gallery updated when I come back. Hopefully, I'll do more drawings I deem worthy of posting. >.>'''
