Honestly, I think I'm one of people on everyone's f-list who constantly listens to shamisen music. I r such a dork, no?
For the record, this is the song I'm listening to. You don't need to watch, just listen. It's amazing that he was (since he died back in 1998) blind and is actually considered one of the founders of Tsugaru-jamisen, which is gaining popularity by guys like the Yoshida Brothers, and Gods of Shamisen (who created an electric shamisen of all things, lol). Dad's the one who reccommended him to me strangely enough. I was surprised I found some his music on youtube. O_o
Tomorrow's Comic City, so no RPing until everyone's like asleep. I absolutely cannot wait. I'll do some quick studying and maybe a light sketch before calling it a night. The Reborn section better watch out, because I'll be raiding that place like mad. *evil laughter and some coughing* I might also take a look around at other fandoms, assuming I can with the short time period, it's from 11 to 3 and this is the largest doujin convention for Osaka this season. Oh well, if all else fails, I can go to Animate, since I finally caved in and got a card.
Speaking of Animate, the Jump Fair 2009 started. So lots of new Shonen Jump-related merchandise is on sale. Got me the new pendant they started selling from Reborn. I got the Tsuna one since I had feeling I couldn't wear Mukuro's one since it's a choker and there was no more Hibari ones. Again, that strap version of Bossu's ridiculous tail thingy was taunting me to buy it. Seriously, I just want to bat the shit out of it because it drives me nuts. Xanxus, seriously, you're kick but WTF was with that?!
And it's class registration season for my home university. LOL WHAT FUN. I mean, I'm glad I'll be back Oregon with awesome people, but the idea of doing this stuff is like argh. Since most of my stuff for my Japanese major is done, it's elective timez. The art classes I want to take all happen at the same time. WTF. I'm debating whether to take "Intro to Digital Imaging" or "Drawing I" since either way I know I need to take a refresher course on either subject. Possibly might take a writing fiction class because I realize how rusty I am at it. Either way, I emailed Maruki-sensei about it and hopefully he can be some help(????)
