ramblings for noh play project

Just writing notes to myself about my noh play for Japanese Theater's midterm. Sempai, you're free to critique this.

Characters:
Shite: Kitsune (a fox spirit). He disguises himself an an old soba vendor near an shrine dedicated to Inari
Waki: Kusuri-uri (Medicine Seller, MS from now on). The same character from Ayakashi: Classical Japanese Horror: Bakeneko and Mononoke series.
Wakizure: A local girl (Will you love me if the girl's name is Kayo, Sempai? XD)
Omoai: A local boy

Location: A small town just outside Kyoto
Season: summer (the rainy season of Japan)
Song/Poem: Haru no Katami (Memento of Spring)

After the original Bakeneko story arc, MS keeps on traveling around. He comes across the small town and stops by the soba vendor to eat. The vendor asks if MS has a place to stay because there have been a string of murders that happen at night.

Kyogen interlude: The omoai tells the story/rumor of a kitsune who fell out of favor from Inari after he steals rice for a young woman he's grown fond of. (Ironically, the woman dies before he could deliver his next stash of food to her.) The rice belonged to a farmer who was a devoted worshiper and after that incident he curses the rice god. Feeling that Inari didn't understand the reason why he did this, the Kitsune retaliates by killing the farmer, his family, and business partners after the god dismisses him. Kitsune's anguish and rage transforms him into a mononoke.

((I still don't exactly understand the difference between makoto and kotowari...so that needs some work.))

After the interlude, the vendor transforms to his true self, a gold colored kyuubi kitsune. MS, now understanding the Kitsune's makoto and kotowari, unsheathes the sword. The two fight, with MS winning. The kitsune calms down and finally accepting what he did, leaves.

This is just only what I have as of now. My head hurts at the moment. -_-''''
