kansaiphones | Yay for Fun Tuesday!

I only had one class today because my Japanese Theater and Japanese 485 class are taught by the same teacher. The reason why my 485 class was canceled was because he was getting ready for a special concert that just finished.

Hanayui, a three woman Japanese folk dance troupe, along with Kaoru Watanabe, a Japanese flute specialist, performed. They featured traditional Okinawan, Ainu, and other different types of music and dance. After hearing them, I'm suddenly energized. It makes wanna go to a Japanese festival or even the Okinawan fair back home. X3

Best of all, I managed to buy one of Watanabe's CDs and will participate in a workshop tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it.

Well, I had a good 5 hour wait in between, so my sempai (upper-classmen) invited me over to their house and have dinner with them. *bows to sempai-tachi* Thanks for everything tonight. I hadn't had good Japanese food in the longest time. <3 Plus, I found another addiction through them, more Visual Kei music. The ride up to Sakura-Con's gonna be so awesome. XD
