I admit, I'm not the most prolific fanfiction writer out there. Since the ninth grade, I've only written down six fanfiction. Many of them are unfinished or were removed by moderators. (I was heartbroken when my Legolas vs Seto Kaiba duel was removed.)

For each fandom I've joined, I created an original character (or partial Mary Sues in a few cases). If could write one complete fanfiction with an original character, I'd be satisfied and could move on.

I hope to create a more serious fanfic. I've written a few comic ones, but I want to challenge my creative writing skills even further. With influences from books and manga I've read, my Social Psychology class, and other fanfiction writers like Jadebell and Catwho, I want to pludge even further in a fandom.

As much as I'm obessesed with Chase Young, he's got to be one of the most difficult characters to write in a fanfiction. (See TV.com's XS forum and find the Chase Young thread if you don't believe me) This guy is filled with more holes than even a few of my characters.

He suppose to sell his soul to get the Lau Mang Lone soup, right? Let's just say I'm not happy with the definition of soul here. "'Soul' implies a great many things. A soul could be an item of great value to a person."-Yuuko Ichihara (xxx-holic vol. 1) If he were to lose his soul, he would only be a shell. He still shows emotions like anger, frustration (*cough*jack*cough*), and that would be impossible if he was soul-less.

It's that gap that gives me the most trouble. My character, Jin, was extremely close to Chase 1500 years ago. But now that she's free from her seal, she is troubled about the sudden change in his character. I'm not sure whether to put them as couple in a possible prequel. Possibly, the two are just allies and sleeping buddies in the current fic. (I'm going to get a whole lot of flames for this.)
